Have you out grown your database?

See if the following applies to you:

Smaller companies start off with a simple Access or similar database developed by an in-house enthusiast or commissioned to a sole external developer. As the business grows, however, the dependence on this database grows along with its complexity and before you know it, it has grown out of control, has become cumbersome and doesn’t quite meet your needs. Add to this the fact that all of your data is on it and you are rightly petrified at the thought of losing your data – and hence you are reluctant to make any changes. Then you become desperate and have to bring someone in to tell you what to do – and this is where your real problems start if you’re not careful.
